Okay, the Wii is pretty much the coolest video game console on earth. There are at least a million reasons why. Girls and boys can like it. Also adults will most likely love it too. There are so many different types of games its crazy. There are no wires on the remote so you don't need to worry about that, and the remotes come with rechargable batteries. I haven't bought it yet but Wii fitness supposily can change your life, and make you lose weight. There are a million different channels you can buy on the Wii Shop channel (thats if you have a Wifi signal only though). Also on the Wii Shop channel you can buy games and Wii ware(new channels). So far ive gotten the picture channel, the internet channel(yes you can go on google, yahoo anything! even add favorites! all on your TV it is freaking cool.) the weather channel, the news channel, it is just crazy with all the crap they stuff in there. Like, you seriously will be in your house for months playingit. I recommend getting Super Mario Galaxy, Wii Sports, Wii Play, Wii Fitness, Wii Carnival Games, Guitar Hero 3, and the rockband for wii that just barely got released. Trust me. You want to buy this.

I think the Wii is pretty good. The controls are revolutionary and it is great fun. It's for the family, though, and for more than one player, so I wouldn't get it if you are more into shooting games, etc. as they don't really have any on the Wii.
I couldn't really tell you what it comes with, as it depends what package deal you go for, but if you bought the console on its own you would get the console and only one Wiimote, and perhaps Wii Sports. I think the tennis game on Wii sports is really good, considering it comes free with it. I think the Wii Fit board looks really good too. I would give it a 7/10, as I think they could have brought out more games for older gamers and made full use of the revolutionary controls.

the wii systems are pretty cool. the only downside of the wii is that it doesnt play dvds/cds/blue ray or high def. one thing i love about all of it is it is wireless. unless you are playing a game cube game. plus although online games are limited you do get to play them for free when all of the other systems charge. if you have a wireless connection, you can buy the internet channel for 5 bucks, well worth the money. i plugged in a keyboard so i could type on the internet. plus there are fun competitions like you build a mii to look like the requirements and then ppl vote on them. games that i would recommend would be mario party 8, deca sports, mario and sonic at the olympics, tiger woods golf. games that i would NOT get are pirates of the carribean, wii fit, and i would not waist your money on rockband b/c guitar hero 4 is coming out this fall and is going to be way cooler. (downloadable content for wii, customize characters, music maker, better drums, 8 player mode and more)
