Yes it’s better …
Yes it’s better than Mario Kart DS, but I don’t find it to be as good as DD. I like lots of weapons in Mario Kart, that’s what makes DD so entertaining to me and this one not so much.

Oh. I did not like …
Oh. I did not like MKDD. I think the game was to item heavy. There was less to do with driving and more using of items. That was the first time you can pick up items just on the floor that you opponent dropped. MKDS had the best control but the worst online.

How about a MK advance review. hahaha.. Have not seen those. Now thats a cheap MK.

Is this game better then MKDS? Is see that as the Best and MK advance as the Hardest.

If they could have …
If they could have kept the character items in this one I would be playing it alot more. I don’t know why they got rid of those, to me those were a great improvement.

those are excellent points. You’re making me want to play DD again I traded it in. I also had gripes with many of the tracks as well. but I agree, those specials gave the characters strategy and identity. they need to do something like that next time.

Double Dash …
Double Dash introduced new weapons, some specific to certain characters that actually made you want to play as them and giving them their own real identity, and the different karts to play in. with two characters you could have a strategy of what kind of weapons you wanted such if you wanted to get rid of your opponents weapons choose Bowser and Wario for giant shells and bombs. It was those little elements that kept me coming back to play Double Dash and why I don’t play Mario Kart Wii as much.

this is probably my …
this is probably my favourite in the series due to the tricks and bikes. They are exceptional additions. Then the online is insane. I especially love the tournies. It’s refreshing after the abismal Mario Kart Double Dash. Only the koopas could get the triple shells! You couldn’t hold items behind either. This is a more propper continuation of the series.

Oh yeah sorry about that rant, I grew up with the Mario Kart series and am dissapointed when they take away the challenge of certain track and make new items that are either too powerful or just plain stupid.

Is it like the GBA where a good player is rewarded with some room between them and their opponents, like when they drop a banana an enemy gives you plenty of time before hugging the rear of your kart, depending on your skill.

Or is it lie the 64 AI, where no matter how well you play or how many traps you set they’re constantly driving up your backside absolutely ipossible to get rid of, sure catching up with them is realistic but the way they catch up with you? Aargh!

Ugh stunts, in a Mario Kart game?
They’ve ruined it there’s bikes and stunts and the items are even cheaper.
The Rainbow road looks ok, but it has some of the horrible safe sections that were in the 64 version if you go wide on a corner on that track you’re supposed to fall off, you deserve it for being crap not some cushy safety net, you didn’t have that on Yoshi Valley.

Have a go at me for being a pureist if you want, but it’s called Mario Kart for a reason.

The worst in that list… wouldn’t that make it average. XD I own Battle revolution and to me that’s the worst one and I plan to do a review for it. but I agree, Kart Wii isn’t exactly in my top 3 favorite Mario Kart games.

Thanks for liking the review, but I would like to know what Wii games you have if this is your list favorite. Oh and if you can play in one of those arcades where you can get a card that lets you play unlimited for a certain amount of time then yeah it doesn’t suck as much.
